What exactly is the Silicon Valley address?

It's a real commercial street address in the San Jose–Santa Clara area. As with most virtual office providers, the exact address is assigned and sent to you when your account is activated, rather than published on the website — that keeps it from being copied by people who haven't signed up. Can I use it to register an LLC in California?

Yes. You can use the address on your California LLC filing, your EIN application, and your business bank application. California also requires a registered agent with a physical California street address — that's a separate role from your business address, and we don't sell registered agent service, so you'll want to arrange one. We're happy to explain how the two differ.

Will a bank accept it?

It's built for that. It's a real commercial street address, not a P.O. box or a mailbox-only address, which are what usually get turned down. Banks make their own decisions and each one checks differently, so we can't promise any specific bank will approve you. What we can promise: if a government agency or bank denies your registration or account because of the address or documents we provided, email us the written denial letter within 30 days and we'll refund 100% of what you paid for that address.

Silicon Valley has three plans. Virtual Business Address 30 ($14.99/mo, or $149.04/yr = $12.42/mo billed yearly) and 60 ($19.99/mo, or $198.96/yr) include the address, 30 or 60 incoming mail items a month, a photo of every envelope, shredding, and free pickup; opening and scanning a letter is $1.99 per piece, only when you ask. Virtual Office ($39.99/mo, or $399/yr = $33/mo billed yearly) adds 60 open-and-scans a month at no charge, and you can add a phone line, fax, and meeting-room booking for $20 a month. Mail over the monthly limit is $1.50 each, free storage is 30 days, and forwarding is at carrier cost with no handling fee.

Can I use another city instead, or add one later?

Yes. We also have addresses in New York (SoHo and NoMad), San Francisco, Delaware, Tampa, Washington DC, and Wyoming. Plenty of customers run more than one — a Silicon Valley address for how the company reads, a Delaware address for where it's registered. Ask us about pricing for more than one location.

Are scanning, forwarding, storage, and shredding included, or charged separately?

Shredding, a photo of every envelope, 30 days of free storage, and free pickup are included on every plan, and junk mail doesn't count. Scanning is included on Virtual Office (60 a month) and $1.99 per piece on Virtual Business Address, only when you ask, with no per-page fee. Forwarding is at carrier cost with no handling fee. Every fee is on the page: no setup fee, no deposit.

Will I be notified of important mail like IRS letters, state notices, and bank verification?

Yes. When mail arrives we scan the envelope and email you, usually within 24 hours. From your dashboard you can open and scan it, forward it, or shred it — so you never miss a time-sensitive letter.
